Lupus affects many Americans, young professionals in Pittsburgh step up.

Seal passes on awards "LupusLA" Seal not only has Lupus but supports the Lupus Loop

Lupus is a subject not often brought up in conversation.  To unveil the magnitude of Lupus many people we know experience the difficulties of Lupus.  Celebrities such as Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Seal and more all are Lupus warriors.  There is no known cure for Lupus making it unique in it's multiple forms attacking the body from many angles.  The Lupus Research Institute and the Lupus Foundation of Pennsylvania now have a core of young individuals surrounded by Lupus realizing that this is a serious matter.  While collecting sponsors, volunteers and supporters for a fundraiser being devised by the group people living with Lupus began to arise and the situation became even more realistic.  The fundraiser was motivated by young magazine writer Selena Underwood who has Lupus and from the Braddock Pa area.  Watching this young lady take on her ailing life and managing to maintain a presence while battling days that make her so tired the next few days are like hell.
Another young lady arises barring butterfly lesions, and another with her entire body covered.  Now it begins to show it self in a way many of us take little time to understand.  It was told to me that it only affected specific people by heredity but this is not true.  A young gentleman from Pittsburgh by the name of Christopher O'Domes live his younger years with his brother and sister living with their mother taking on the battle.  This woman was a single mother and fully worked up until it just was no longer a possibility.  This experience is now the bridge that closed the gap with the theme of events locally in the Pittsburgh area.  Christopher an entreprenuer has chosen wisely to team up with Selena Underwood mentioned above to create the themed production "The Orange Crush Show" Orange being one of the colors represented by LupusPurple as well is equally celebrated hence the show will have a hint of Purple passion in it.
The creator and manager of the production is due more than thanks for the efforts and expertise brought to the table.  Maintaing casting and obtaining sponsorship Kenneth Harper is more than an addition to a team, but the glue that holds it together.  The team has worked deligently to create a show that everyone can enjoy, a theme that is being some what held as a secret for how electric the turn may be.
Shanter Broadus daughter of hit recording artist Snoop Dogg also has Lupus

Lupus has come a long way with it's research now with new methods to comfort the pain of this disease.  Over time progression occurs in medicine and the support of the Lupus Research Institute is greatly needed.  Awareness is just the first step, look around you and many people have Lupus and may never mention it.  In interviews those that suffer from this usually feel a level of embarrassment due to becoming weary during tasks that were once very simple.  I met a gentleman during a group discussion that could no longer open a bag of chips with out loosing his wind.  But for sake of words this man still had full wind in his sails for everything that came out of his mouth was optimistic.  As humans it is our nature to nurture each other, yet people with Lupus feel as if they must keep it a secret to not burden those around them.  This movement definately sold me and I'm on board to support in any way...
