2011TeamHAZELWOOD on the Rise!

Thursday, July 7, All this month there as been noise coming from one of the furthest points on the Eastern side of Pittsburgh. In case the city didn't know Hazelwood has produced the corps of some of Pittsburgh's hip hop community. With key components such as; Fiya, FlyGuy and Fam4Life, K-Pound of RovaLike and the electrifying JSP, the Justuce Street Poets. The JSP and Fam4Life just recently featured in a video shot by K-Pound and his team on the mean streets of Hazelwood. A video not to be missed! Rap used to be viewed by who and which rapper was spitting truth. Then it became a game of who can rap the best about what you got or where your from. Even though there are some rappers out there that really don't have anything or "not really from where they claim" and riding it like the dirt won't come out in the wash. Pittsburgh is going to get it's just due with exposure to the talent that is here. Team Hazelwood is amongst the elite with producing artists that have really been through it on the streets... Not to get it twisted shout out to the Northside, Hill District, Homewood, Larimer, Wilkinsburg, The West Side, South Side and surrounding areas. The realm of hip hop has grown emensely over time and the barrier has been broken, we are no longer in the armpit of exposure. With new professional facilities such as Official Sounds studios, Extras Casting Pittsburgh and record labels popping up all over the city. This shows that now the Golden Triangle is ready to support what has until now been under minded.

Others are have had a key hand in building the pillars of our hip hop community like; MyCity Mag, Human Hustle, Clique Vodka, Hater Magnet and more... Many artists are now profiled as features in the city and here are a few just to get you familiar:

Key members of this happening is well highlighted like, Ken Harper of Urban Nerd, Darnell Clark of Image Makers Media and Samantha DeFazio of Official Sounds Studios. Stay tuned for these corps individuals to make things happen never seen before by this city.
